Super Girlfriends by Kanish
Done doing these so here they all are in one place! Fully Dressed Redesigns of Superheroines.
Point of this: An exercise in character design, attempting to clothe the heroines nearly all the way and not making them painted-on, while still keeping the look of their original costumes in some way. Hopefully keeping them looking as iconic as the originally were. Just showing what can be done with a costume breaking outside the barrier of the norm.
NOT the point of this: some moral code I’m trying to push on you

Oh! I meant to share these. I made little collages for the index pages of my project book that I thought you guys might like.
Yes, I know I used three out of four Batgirls on the Batgirl page instead of devoting the page to just one, but it was combination of having trouble finding good scans and having to choose one true Batgirl. So we have Batgirls. Same thing with using scans of both Black Canaries.

What is your opinion of Supergirl in The New 52? Do you think they should of kept her old costume and body type?
I’ve only read the first few issues, so I can’t comment too much on her personality in The New 52. But I do like Mahmud Asrar’s depiction of her physique and costume. Kara is typically drawn as smaller(less curvaceous, less muscular, less busty) as some of the other superheroines, and I like that Asrar takes that to the next level and really makes her stand out amongst the her superheroine peers. Not that being curvy or busty is a bad thing, but there needs to be variety among female body types in comics.
As for her costume, I like it. I mean let’s be honest, most female superhero costumes are completely impractical for fighting/running/flying/general superheroing, and that’s something that I’ve always had major issues with. But for what it is, and considering that there isn’t really a chance that she’s gonna get a practical fighting suit anytime soon, I think Supergirl’s new costume is pretty cool looking. I like that she has long sleeves and her cleavage is covered, and I think the texture of the material has a very armor-like look to it, so that’s cool. I could do without the bottom looking like a bathing suit, but atleast Asrar doesn’t really draw too many butt shots(that I’ve seen). And contrary to popular opinion, I like the boots! Most superhero boots kind of end up looking the same, so it’s nice to see something different.
