I should know better than to pick up a book with a character I like just before I go to bed, because I’ll always end up staying up to late to finish it. That’s exactly what happened last night with this book. I really enjoy Mari as a character, but I feel like she isn’t utilized enough in the DC universe. Besides this miniseries, she’s only been featured in the Justice League title(as far as I know), and I feel like she’s a strong and interesting enough character to be explored more. Anyway, I definitely recommend you to pick this up if you’re interested in Vixen/Mari, if you’re a fan of strong female characters, or if you just want to read a superhero story that’s a little bit different than everything else that’s out there.
On a side note, dcwomenkickingass mentioned that there should be a series with Starfire and Vixen as supermodels-by-day-superheroes-by-night, and Donna Troy as their fashion photographer/crimefighting buddy. DC needs to get on this, like right now.
